Elkhart County Historical Museum holds scavenger hunt

ELHKART COUNTY, Ind. – The Elkhart County Historical Museum will be holding a scavenger hunt on Saturday, September 5th. The event is free for anyone that wants to participate.

The event is being held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

To maintain the safety of everyone during the pandemic, all visitors will be required to wear face coverings and use social distancing.

Guests will be given a scavenger hunt form containing clues and questions while looking through the exhibits.

“We think that this will allow our visitors to experience the museum in a different way. Our intent is for visitors to keep an eye out and look for specific things as they tour the museum. Some questions may deal with a particular exhibit label that deals with the early history of the county or another question you may have to identify a maker of a particular tool,” said Curator of Education Patrick McGuire.

The scavenger hunt will include features about the museum’s newest exhibit that explores the history of Elkhart County from 1851 to now.
