Elkhart County police respond to suspicious item with "fuse attached"

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. — The Elkhart County Sheriff's Department got a call Sunday morning about a suspicious item on the side of County Road 26.
Police responded and found an "item wrapped in black tape with a fuse attached to it."
The Elkhart City Bomb Unit was sent out to the area to collect it. The unit will then destroy the item.
