ELKHART, Ind.--- Elkhart County Public Library is hosting a free drive-in movie weekend this weekend at 2700 South Nappanee Street. The event began with the movie "Sing" on Friday.
"I’ve always seen on the movies how they go to the drive-in movies and I’ve never went to one, and this is my first time going to one, and I think it’s a really good idea and they should do this more often," said Logan Edwards who attended Friday night's showing.
Dozens of families were on hand for Friday night's movie. Terina Ware says she's glad she was able to enjoy a movie on the big screen in the midst of the Coronavirus Pandemic.
"We’ve been talking about going to the movies, but obviously with all of the restrictions we didn’t feel comfortable sitting in a movie theater, but this is fun," said Ware. "We love 'Sing!'"
The drive-in movie weekend will conclude on Saturday night where the Elkhart County Public Library is showing "Wayne's World'.
Admission is free to the public.
