Elkhart County Sheriff's Office releases seat belt enforcement campaign results

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind.—The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office on Monday released the results of their participation in the Click It or Ticket seat belt enforcement push.
Between May 20 and June 2, officers provided increased patrols to identify people who were driving without wearing a seat belt.
Officers’ efforts yielded the following results:
- 137 seat belt violations
- 9 child restraint violations
- 4 operating while intoxicated
- 2 felony arrests
- 17 criminal misdemeanors
- 71 other offenses
The increased efforts were completed as part of a national campaign called Click It or Ticket.
