Elkhart County Sheriff seeks pay raise for deputies

Elkhart County officials are set to meet Saturday to discuss a proposed pay raise for its deputies.
The Elkhart County Sheriff asked for the pay raise for his deputies so their salaries can better compete with the region's average.
Currently, deputies make approximately $10,000 less per year than other agencies in the area.
