Elkhart County Sheriff's Office respond to crash

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. – Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office responded to a crash early this morning on County Road 31, south of County Road 40.

A 19-year-old male of Syracuse, IN. was traveling north on County Road 31 in vehicle one.

A 65-year-old male was slowing north bound on County Road 31 to turn into a residence, when vehicle one passed him.

The first vehicle collided with the second vehicle’s driver side causing the second vehicle to collide into a fence at the residence.

Both parties were reported to have been wearing seatbelts.

The driver of vehicle one was cited for improper passing.

Both drivers complained of pains, but both refused treatment at the scene.
