Hot and Humid Independence Day, Storms return Sunday
ELKHART, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office will host a hiring event on August 24 at 5 p.m.
The event will take place at the county sheriff's office, located at 26861 on County Road 26.
Officials are looking specifically for patrol officers.

Those who apply will also first have to take a physical agility test and then a written examination.
The hiring process will also include a background check and an interview before completion.
