Elkhart deputy shot in the leg during training

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- An Elkhart County Sheriff's deputy was injured after accidentally shooting herself in the leg during a training exercise Tuesday afternoon.
The officer, 35, was taken to Elkhart General Hospital for a gunshot wound to the leg.
She was treated and released.
The sheriff's office is conducting an internal investigation into the incident.
