Two injured in fire at former Chicago Grill & Bar on Cassopolis Street

ELKHART, Ind. -- The Elkhart Fire Department spent several hours Wednesday afternoon battling a fire at a vacant building on Cassopolis Street.
The fire happened around 2 p.m. in the vacant building.
A firefighter suffered smoke inhalation and was transported to the hospital.
A person who was inside the building at the time of the fire was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
Cassopolis Street is expected to remain closed until 6 p.m.
