ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. –– High school football programs around the country are facing the real possibility that their summer workouts could be cancelled due to COVID-19. However, Elkhart High School Head Football Coach Josh Shattuck said he isn't concerned with the possibility of lost time.
Instead, he focuses on the other times where chemistry is built.
“It’s all those invisible mornings in January and February where you are lifting weights or you’re doing winter conditioning and things like that. And you’re doing it together, and now when it’s on your own it just doesn’t have the same vibe. So I do think that the guys will feed off each other a lot more than we have," Shattuck said.
