ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. –– The COVID-19 pandemic stalled most high schools across the country from starting summer workouts. That will change next week for the newly merged Elkhart High School, as they are set to begin phase one of their return plan.
Head football coach Josh Shattuck said he is proud of the plan set to be put in motion next week.
“We’ve got a set up that we feel fits the need of our kids, and balances the health and well being of our players, coaches and our community. And we also have contingency plans if we get hiccups,” Shattuck said.
Phase one is scheduled for July 6 through July 17.
