ELKHART, Ind. – An Elkhart man was charged by indictment with transportation and possession of child pornography.
Steven J. Perry, 54, was indicted for allegedly uploading images of child pornography to an online service in September of 2018.
The online service reported Perry’s alleged actions to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
An FBI cybercrimes task force agent in South Bend was alerted about this cybertip and used a warrant to search Perry’s Elkhart residence on December 5.
Perry admitted to uploading the images to the online services and was taken into custody.
At this time Perry is indicted and could be convicted in court if found guilty.
The case was investigated by the FBI cybercrime unit in South Bend, the Secret Service, and the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department.
