ELKHART, Ind. -- An Elkhart man faces ten felony charges connected to allegedly collecting and possessing child pornography.

27-year-old Chaz Thrasher is charged with one count of Child Exploitation, two counts of Child Exploitation with an aggravating factor, and seven charges of Possession of Child Pornography.

Court documents show that Thrasher allegedly either attempted to obtain, obtained, shared, and/or traded child pornography on a variety of platforms, including Kik, Telegram, Xbox, Snapchat, and Instagram.

Thrasher allegedly admitted to occasionally posing as a minor on his Xbox account; in at least one incident, he allegedly used tactic to obtain child sex abuse material from an actual minor.

Thrasher's initial hearing is set for August 25.
