Elkhart man veers off road, crashes car on U.S. 20 bypass

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- In Elkhart a man is recovering after he lost control of his car and it ran off the road.
The accident happened just after 8:30 Sunday night on U.S. 20, west of County Road 19. Police say he crashed his car into a mailbox, a metal fence and a telephone pole.
He was wearing his seat belt. Officers say he only had some minor injuries
