Elkhart Police detective pleads guilty to breaking into ex-wife's home

ELKHART, Ind. -- An Elkhart Police detective pleaded guilty to breaking into his ex-wife's home and harassing her with calls and texts, according to court records.

Scott Hupp pleaded guilty to one count of residential breaking and entering, and two counts of harassment by means of a telephone call.

The 20 year veteran of the department was arrested after an investigation into the break in that happened in July 2018.

Hupp will be sentenced on November 22.
