UPDATE: Elkhart Police Department officials confirm that two people were shot in this incident. Officers found a female victim outside an apartment building, and a male victim inside. Neither of their conditions are known.

ORIGINAL STORY: ELKHART, Ind. -- The Elkhart Police Department is investigating a reported shooting.

It was called in at 1:54 p.m. today, April 27. The scene is at The Highlands Apartments complex, which is just south of the C.R. 6 Walmart. No other information is available at this time.
