FRANCESVILLE, Ind. -- The sectional championship is finally here in Indiana, and the West Central Trojans come into this game against North Judson on an absolute heater, riding a 10 game-winning streak.

For the trojans, this isn't just an opportunity to bring a sectional championship back to Francesville. If they win, this would be the first time West Central has advanced to regionals since 2005.

"Back at that point, we were back-to-back in 2004 and 2005 sectional championship and there was a regional championship that took place in one of those years so it would be huge, it's been way too long, we've had opportunities," said Marc Hall, West Central head coach.

But the 21-year sectional drought isn't the only motivating factor for Trojan head coach Marc Hall and his team.
2025 saw West Central come up short in the sectional championship at LaVille, a game this team has moved on from, but hasn't forgotten.

"At the end of the year, coaches and us come together and discuss what our next step is, we said we want conference, and we want sectionals, so that's what we came for. We're here, and we're going to get it," said Landon Hughes, senior center.

That's enough of the past, time to talk about Friday night. The Trojans come into this game scalding hot, with their last loss coming on August 21. Since that defeat, it's been ten games, and ten wins.

"We had some opportunities in week one, some opportunities we didn't take advantage of and we ended up losing that one, but we've won ten in a row since then, we've done everything we've needed to do since then, and so I think our guys are pretty locked in on everything we've been doing," said Hall.

The Trojan offense has been elite, scoring more than 50 points on average during their win streak. But if you ask West Central, they'll tell you their biggest strength is on the other side of the football

"Our starting defense has let up maybe six points in the last four games, we don't plan on stopping, we're going to go out and play our hardest," said Hughes.

The Trojans and Bluejays will kick off from Liberty Field Friday at 7:30 p.m. Eastern, 6:30 p.m. Central.
