Elkhart Police investigating attempted robbery of Subway

Elkhart Police responded to the Subway on Benham Avenue at 9:41 p.m. Thursday after an attempted robbery.

Police say two suspects entered the store, one with a handgun, and demanded money.

The employees were unable to open the cash register so the suspects fled without taking anything.

The suspects were described as black males wearing dark clothing and masks.
