Elkhart Police investigating fatal shooting on Concord Avenue

ELKHART, Ind. - Two people have died following a shooting in the 700 block of Concord Avenue Sunday evening, according to the Elkhart Police Department.

Dispatch received a call about the shooting at 10:58 p.m. Sunday night.

At the scene, officers found a 15-year-old boy outside the residence suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

He was taken to the hospital where he later died.

Police learned a man, identified as 34-year-old Alexis Jackson of Elkhart, was brought to the hospital with apparent gunshot wounds and later died at the hospital.

The Elkhart County Homicide Unit is investigating the shooting.

Law enforcement believe this is an isolated incident and that there is no threat to the community.
