Elkhart woman dies in crash on County Road 20, 35
ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. - An Elkhart woman died in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of County Roads 20 and 35 Monday morning, according to the Elkhart County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies were called to the intersection at 9:48 a.m. for the crash.
According to the investigation, a 2019 Ford F450 pickup truck was traveling west on C.R. 20, approaching the intersection with C.R. 35, when the driver allegedly did not yield the right of way and did not stop at the intersection.
The truck hit the driver's side of a 2011 Nissan Cube Hatchback that was traveling south on C.R. 35, reports said.
The driver of the Nissan, identified as 31-year-old Tiffany Runyon, died as a result of her injuries in the crash.
Two juvenile passengers in Runyon's vehicle, ages seven and two, suffered minor injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment.
The driver of the truck was not injured.
The Elkhart County Crash Investigation Team continues to investigate the incident.
