ELKHART, Ind. -- A woman is facing murder charges in the death of her husband, who died early Saturday morning following a stabbing, according to police.
Elkhart Police were dispatched to the 300 block of W. Jefferson Street at 5:30 a.m. Saturday to investigate a stabbing.
When they arrived, officers found 33-year-old Jimmie Gillam with serious injuries. He was taken to the hospital where he died of his injuries, police said.
The Elkhart County Homicide Unit began an investigation into Gillam's death.
During the investigation, Gillam's wife, 33-year-old Knesha Carruthers, was developed as a suspect.
Following a probable cause review on Monday morning, the court found probable cause for her arrest.
She is expected to be charged on Wednesday and in court for an initial hearing on Thursday, reports said.
