Employee hospitalized after fight with co-worker

The St. Joseph County Police Department was called to a business on Bittersweet Road in Granger on Monday morning after two employees got into a fight.

Police say the fight started over a semi that parked near a dumpster.

One of the people involved in the fight was taken to the hospital.

Police are puzzled about the incident.

"This is a curious kind of circumstance because everyone is basically working for the same company. But they just argued about whose task was more important and it just escalated. Certainly this is not something we expect out of adults who are in a workplace but and law-enforcement we have come to expect things like this from time to time," said Assistant Chief Bill Thompson of the St. Joseph County Police Department.

No arrests have been made and the incident remains under investigation.
