Ending hunger with one step at a time

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Nearly 17 percent of those living right here in St. Joseph County are hungry. And on Sunday, their neighbors will hit the trails to help end hunger with one step at a time.

It is part of the 30th Annual Crop Hunger Walk.

Faith-based groups will walk to help raise money for those around the world and right here at home.

Twenty-five percent of the money raised will stay here to help local charities.

The crop walk starts at Howard Park in South Bend.

Registration is at 1:15 p.m. and the walk gets underway at 2 p.m.
