Evan Reed arraigned on charges

Former Detroit Tigers pitcher Evan Reed was arraigned Thursday on criminal sexual conduct charges.

He is accused of sexually assaulting a 45-year-old woman back in March at a casino.

The judge ordered him to have no contact with her, however he is allowed to travel with the Toledo Mud Hens team.

The Tigers have released this statement.

"As an organization we take matters like this very seriously, and we are closely monitoring the situation. Evan Reed's representatives are handling his legal proceeding that must run its course before there is any further comment from the ball club."

Reed is set to be back in court August 12th.
