Excise Officer arrests man wanted on kidnapping charges

An Indiana State Excise Police officer arrested a man Sunday who was wanted on kidnapping charges.

The arrest happened around 11:00 p.m. Sunday night in Michigan City.

26-year-old Antoine Terrell Kimbrough of Gary was traveling the wrong way on a one way street.

An Excise officer stopped Kimbrough who allegedly gave the officer a false name during the traffic stop.

The officer continued questioning Kimbrough and was able to determine his true identity.

Officials say Kimbrough had an active warrant for his arrest through Lake County for three counts of kidnapping, two counts of criminal confinement, one count of criminal confinement resulting in injury, one count of felony domestic battery, and one count of misdemeanor domestic battery.
