We've been preparing you all week long for extreme heat, and it will finally arrive today and tomorrow.
Wind out of the south pushes hot, muggy air into Michiana today. Highs soar into the low 90s. Heat indices for most are in the upper 90s, but a few, especially the western portions of Michiana, could feel like the low triple digits.
Thursday's forecast is even hotter and muggier. Highs soar near 97, but heat indices could be in the 105-110 range by afternoon.
The forecast remains mainly dry, although an isolated shower or storm is possible Thursday night.
Temperatures begin to cool Friday with lower humidity and a high in the mid 80s.
This weekend is dry with highs in the upper 70s both Saturday and Sunday.
The forecast still looks dry into next week, but temperatures are closer to normal levels.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, breezy. Low 76.
