Facebook buys Instagram for $1 billion

There's a new member of the Facebook family.
The social networking site bought Instagram $1 billion. Instagram is a popular photo-sharing app that came to Apple's app store in 2010.
Just last week, a version was rolled out for the android market. No word yet on what Facebook plans to do with the newly purchased company.
