FACT investigating crash involving pedestrian on Lincolnway West

The St. Joseph County Fatal Crash Team is investigating a crash that injured a pedestrian Thursday evening on Lincolnway West.
Around 10:15 p.m., a car was traveling westbound on Lincolnway West near Terrace Avenue when a pedestrian attempted to cross the street.
The driver saw the pedestrian and swerved, but was unable to avoid hitting him, according to FACT.
The pedestrian, 64-year-old Wylie McClellan, was taken to the hospital with broken bones. He is in serious condition, investigators said.
Investigators say the driver of the car remained at the scene and cooperated in the investigation.
The driver and her passengers were not injured in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
