SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Fatal Alcohol Crash Team (FACT) is investigating a crash at the intersection of Lincoln Way West and North Bendix Drive.
The South Bend Police Department were dispatched to the scene at approximately 2:52 on Sunday morning.
According to South Bend Police Department, two are dead and three people are seriously injured. Those injured were taken to Memorial Hospital.
Tajuanna Norris, 47, and Tony Griffin, 37, were both pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash started when a Chrysler 200 allegedly rear-ended a Saturn Ion. This then caused a chain reaction crash, according to police.
The driver of the Chrysler 200, Raeaunna White, 29, was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries, according to police.
Anthony Ballinger, 44, and Antwan Bradley, 5 years old, were taken to the hospital and at last check are in critical condition.
Two others, identified as Endejah O’Quinn, 25, and Christina Skillon, 28, sustained minor injuries.
Thomas Petty, 30, and Mustafa Shammari, 32, were also involved, but both were uninjured.
Officers were heading to another call when they came across the crash involving five cars around 2:50 a.m.
FACT is currently investigating the crash and toxicology results are pending.
