Happy Friday! We’re starting the morning with quiet conditions and temperatures in the 40s and low 50s. Today will stay dry, with highs climbing into the 70s by afternoon. Clouds will gradually increase throughout the day as we look ahead to weekend rain.
A strong cold front moves in Saturday afternoon, bringing showers that will impact the Notre Dame vs. USC game. Rain is expected to begin around 3 PM—right around tailgate time—and will continue through much, if not all, of the game. There’s also a potential for lightning, which could pose a hazard to attendees and potentially delay the start.
Showers linger into Sunday, with the heaviest rain likely in the morning. Winds will pick up and temperatures will drop, making for a cooler, breezy end to the weekend. Looking ahead to next week, highs will settle into the 50s, bringing true fall conditions.
