Autumn begins officially at 9:30 a.m. EDT with the equinox Tuesday. The calendar may officially say fall but summer weather will persist the rest of the week, sunshine and high near 80. Haze from western wildfires will also stay aloft in the skies through the week, enhancing sunrise and sunset with more orange and red tones. The only chance of rain comes with a fall front that arrives Sunday. Fall temperatures return next week.
Tonight: Mostly clear. Low 48.
Tuesday: Sunny/hazy. High 78.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny / hazy. High 80.
Thursday: Mostly sunny / hazy. High 80.
