SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Family and friends gathered at Kelly Park in South Bend on Thursday evening to honor and remember the life of Alexis Morales.
Community members also joined to witness kind testimonies made on Alexis’ behalf as family and friends released balloons and lit candles.
“She made sure everybody around her was great, especially her baby, and I just wanted you guys to not allow all this drama and these speculations to overshadow the real reason why everybody is gathering, and that’s to get justice for my sister,” said Jada Morales, Alexis’ sister.
Family and friends continue to ask the public for information that could help solve the case around the initial disappearance of Alexis and her 5-month-old son Messiah who remains in recovery at a hospital.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help cover the funeral costs of Alexis Morales.
