ELKHART, Ind.--- The family of Danielle Robinson held a vigil in her honor Tuesday night. Robinson was seven months pregnant when she was shot and killed in 2018.
"I remember two years ago, I received a phone call in bed saying my cousin was shot to death and they didn’t know if she was going to make it or not," said Senovia Robinson, Danielle's cousin.
Families and friends lit candles, prayed, and released balloons as they await an arrest in the case two years later.
"Her murder today, and Daniel’s, is still unsolved and all we want is justice for the both of them," Robinson. "It’s heartbreaking that someone can just take their life and not care about it."
Law enforcement officials are still pleading with the Elkhart community to come forward with information.
"We haven’t forgot about Danielle, and that case, we still have evidence in that case and there’s movement to move forward in the case but we need extreme help from the community," said Mark Daggy, commander of the Elkhart County Homicide Unit.
Those with information on this case should call (574) 295-2825.
