ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- An Elkhart man has lost his life after a crash early Sunday morning east of Bristol.
The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office says that at approximately 5:50 a.m. 26-year-old Fernando Diaz Calderon was traveling west on S.R. 120, west of C.R. 131, when he left the roadway for an unknown reason.
Calderon struck a mailbox and a tree before rolling once, with police then pronouncing him dead at the scene and the passenger being taken to Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office is investigating what led off to the crash.
