Father runs marathon blindfolded

PITTSBURGH -- One Pennsylvania father is putting the theory that running is simply "mind over matter" to the test with his own experiment.

Mike Bruno is training to run the Pittsburgh marathon blindfolded.

His seven-year-old daughter is blind, autistic and was born very premature weighing just over a pound.

Now her dad is hitting the pavement with a guide seeing what it is like running in the dark.

"I took ten steps with my eyes shut. And then I regained my awareness. And Then I took 15 and then I tried running just to see what it was like for her," said Bruno.

The race kicks off on May Fifth.
