Fighting Irish just days away from season opener

NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- This Saturday the season opener for the Fighting Irish will kick off in Dublin.
The team takes off from South Bend on Wednesday.
Notre Dame will face Navy for the 86th straight year.
But next Saturday will be a first for sophomore quarterback Everett Golson.
He makes his first career start against the Midshipmen.
Kick off for the game in Aviva Stadium in Dublin is set for 9 a.m., Eastern Time.
