Fighting Irish land pair on pre-season All-American team

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Two Notre Dame football players, one on each side of the ball, have been named to the 2025 Walter Camp Pre-Season All-American team.
The Notre Dame football program has been the subject of some hype this off season after a national title run in 2024 gave the program the most wins in a single season in program history.
That, mixed with a slate of recent recruiting wins, has Notre Dame a favorite to return to the College Football Playoff this season.
Helping the Irish accomplish that goal are a pair of playmakers that were named to the pre-season All-American Team on Tuesday.
Returning starting running back and 2025 Heisman Trophy candidate Jeremiyah Love leads the first-team running back spot with Penn State's Nicholas Singleton right behind him.
In 2024, Love totaled 163 carries for 1,125 yards and a 6.9 yards-per-carry average.
He also added 17 touchdowns, scoring in twelve straight games and giving the Irish an early lead in their first-ever home College Football Playoff game with a 98-yard touchdown against the Indiana Hoosiers in the first round.
On defense 2024 Freshman Defensive Player of the Year and Freshman All-American Leonard Moore is one of four defensive back on the first-team.
Moore played in all 16 games of last season as a freshman started in 10 of them.
He collected 48 total tackles – 34 solo, recorded two interceptions, two forced fumbles, and led the team with 11 pass breakups.
