Fighting Irish ready to take the field against the Falcons
NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- Notre Dame takes the field against Air Force in less than 24-hours.
Coach Kelly says the Irish need to play their best to come away with a win.
Notre Dame is 3 and 2 on the season.
The Falcons have a similar record of 3 and 1.
But they're coming off back-to-back wins, and Air Force is known for their tough offense.
The Irish say it all starts with the Falcon's Quarterback, Tim Jefferson.
"He's a great athlete he really runs the option well and then on top of it he can throw the ball when they run predominately the option type offense,” says Notre Dame Safety Harrison Smith.
Of course, the Irish hope to walk away with a win before they head into a week away.
Kick-off is at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday at Notre Dame Stadium.
