Final day to register to vote
The countdown is on to the 2016 presidential election and only 28 days remain. Tuesday is the last day Indiana and Michigan residents have to get registered to vote.
Those who want to register to vote will have to fill out the Voter Registration Form and deliver in person, by mail, or online by the end of the day Tuesday.
Indiana residents can go to any BMV location to get registered. They can also go to their County Registration Office, or the Indiana Election Division.
Residents can also register online by using their state ID number or driver's license. The online system will use the signature on file through the BMV.
Voter registration information for each Indiana county can be found here.
For Michigan residents they will have to fill out their registration form and deliver or mail to their county, city, township, or clerk's office. Location information can be found here.
Additionally Michigan residents can go through the Department of Health, Michigan Jobs Commission, and Military Recruitment Centers. Those places all offer voter registration services.
Michigan residents who register by mail will have to vote in person for the first time unless they are handicapped, 60 years of age or older, or temporarily living overseas.
