Final Pieces of the old St. Joseph High School comes down Thursday

The final pieces of the old St. Joseph High School gym in South Bend came down on Thursday.

Large parts of the building have already been demolished and crews have taken out most of the walls in the gym.

The building closed in 2012 after the new St. Joseph High School was built on Notre Dame Avenue.

Parts of the main building remain, but they are expected to be gone by the end of the summer.

Some of the bricks that made up the building are being cleaned and sold to alumni and local residents.
