Fire crews called back to Park Jefferson Apt. Complex for shed fire

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Strong storms moved across Michiana this afternoon bringing hail, thunder and lightning. Lightning struck a shed at Park Jefferson Apartment Complex off Jefferson Street in South Bend around 12:45 p.m. ABC 57's Rachel Glaser was at the apartment complex at the time of the lightning strike. "It was the loudest boom I've ever heard," Glaser said about the thunder the clapped right after the strike. The force of the strike blew the front door right off the shed. The shed caught fire as well sending fire crews rushing to the apartment complex for the second day in a row. ABC 57 will have exclusive video of the scene before even the apartment attendants made it to the shed. That video will air tonight on ABC 57 News at 7 & 11 p.m. No one was injured in the incident. We also want to make it clear that no apartment units were involved in this fire. Power was knocked out to several of the buildings.
