Fire destroys garage in South Bend

A fire on the corner of Bonds Avenue and Hartzer Street left behind only the skeleton of a garage Tuesday night.

Fire officials received the call of a garage fully engulfed in flames at 8:18 p.m.

The garage is considered to be a total loss. 

Officials say the neighboring garage received some minor damage to its exterior. 

One fire fighter suffered minor injuries in the incident and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. 

Fire crews are still working to determine the cause of the blaze.
