Fire in Bridgman destroys family's home

BRIDGMAN, Mich. -- Fire fighters received a call around 6:40 p.m. on Friday, that a house on Baldwin was on Fire.

A mother and her two children were inside the house when they say that they smelled smoke, they made it out of the house without any injuries.

Red Cross volunteers were on the scene to assist fire fighters as well as help the homeowner make temporary living arrangements.

Officials declared the house a total loss, investigators are still looking into what caused the fire.
