Fire leaves home damaged in South Haven Township

VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. – A residence was heavily damaged by a fire on Sunday evening in South Haven Township, the South Haven Area Emergency Services reported.

At 8:55 p.m., a passerby reported a house on fire along M-140 south of C.R. 380.

Flames were coming through the roof when SHAES and the Covert Township Fire Department arrived.

The residents were not inside the home at the time.

No injuries were reported.

This incident remains under investigation.
