Storms tomorrow, Quiet and dry by midweek
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. - Firefighters responded to a house fire in the 2400 block of Prast Boulevard in South Bend Wednesday afternoon.
The fire was called in as a kitchen fire.
Firefighters were able to get the fire under control within 15 minutes of their arrival.
Within the now displaced family, there are three children who are 12 years of age and younger.
The American Red Cross has been notified to arrange for temporary residency.
Per the battalion chief on the scene there were no injuries and the family was out of the house before firefighters arrived.
