Firefighters find unconscious man in burning home

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Just before 2 p.m., ABC57 News heard reports over the scanner of a house fire on LaSalle Court in South Bend.
Dispatchers said that they thought there may be children on the second floor.
When firefighters entered the home, they found one man unconscious in a bedroom. He was taken by ambulance to the hospital.
The call came in at 1:45 p.m. It took crews just seven minutes to get the fire under control.
The man's name and his current condition have not yet been released.
