ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – Firefighters responded to a structure fire in Madison Township, in southeastern St. Joseph County, Monday night.

It was reported that the family that lives in the home was inside eating dinner at the time, when they saw smoke and fire, leading them to call firefighters.

Responding officials explain they were focusing their efforts to the attic, but it is still being investigated as to where the fire began.

As of now, the fire is clear and the scene is still being investigated.

The Madison Township Captain reports that they believe the structure will be okay.

Ambulances were on scene per protocol, but there are no injuries and everyone involved is safe.
