First games of SBCSC Jackie Robinson celebrations postponed due to weather

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The first two baseball games celebrating the legacy of Jackie Robinson are postponed due to wind chill, the South Bend Community School Corporation announced today.

The Riley v. LaVille game has been rescheduled for Friday, April 16 at 5 p.m.

The Adams v. Mishawaka game has been rescheduled for Saturday, April 24 at 10 a.m.

The School Corporation is hosting a number of baseball and softball games to celebrate and honor Robinson, who is known for breaking the “color line” when he started as a first baseman for the Brooklyn Dodgers on April 15, 1947.
