Five people arrested on drug charges following NET 43 investigation

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. – The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, along with multiple other law enforcement agencies including Narcotics Enforcement Team 43, arrested multiple suspects on August 15 based on intelligence gathered at traffic stops.

Officers obtained a search warrant for a home in the 4000 block of W 400 N and breached the residence at 8:22 p.m. on August 15.

131 grams of methamphetamine, one gram of heroin and an abundance of stolen tools and lawn equipment all totaling an estimated $25,000 were recovered at the property, according to police reports.

Frank Daniels, Kendall Rodgers and Chad Thompson were taken into custody and transported to the Kosciusko County Jail.

A separate search warrant was obtained a residence in the 8000 block of E US 30 lot 52 and executed at the same time as the first.

Police reports say officers located one ounce of methamphetamine at the location and arrested residents Maryjean and Troy Howard. They were then transported to the Kosciusko County Jail.

The arrested suspects are charged as follows:

  • Daniels, 34, of Middlebury is charged with dealing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, and maintaining a common nuisance
  • Rodgers, 25, of Middlebury is charged with dealing methamphetamine and possession of a narcotic drug
  • Thompson, 52, of Warsaw, is charged with maintaining a common nuisance and possession of methamphetamine
  • Troy Howard, 52, of Pierceton, is charged with dealing methamphetamine
  • Maryjean Howard, 51, of Elkhart, is charged with dealing methamphetamine
