Flu vaccines available now

Flu season is right around the corner and after last year’s historically bad flu year, the CDC is cautioning everyone to be prepared.

Although it’s not officially flu season yet, the CDC says right now is as good a time as any to get flu shots.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says flu activity can occur as early as October and last as late as May.

Although there are still nearly two weeks left in the summer, the 2015 flu vaccine is already available in Indiana.

The CDC says it’s not possible to predict the type of flu season in store for us this year but they are advising people to take necessary precaution to avoid a repeat of last year’s flu season.
